Carbohydrate ligand engagement with CD11b enhances differentiation of tumor-associated myeloid cells for immunotherapy of solid cancers by Mei Zhang, Veronique Roche, Victor Sandoval, Claire Wolford, Zachary Senders, Julian Anthony Kim, Susan Pereira Ribeiro, Alex Yicheng Huang, Rafick-Pierre Sekaly, Joshua Lyons

    Published 2023-06-01
“…Importantly, we observed that the BG34-200-CD11b engagement triggered endocytosis of the binding complexes in TAIMs, which induced intracellular F-actin cytoskeletal rearrangement, effective phagocytosis, and intrinsic ICAM-1 (intercellular adhesion molecule I) clustering. These structural biological changes resulted in the differentiation in TAIMs into monocyte-derived dendritic cells, which play a crucial role in T-cell activation in the tumor microenvironment. Conclusions Our research has advanced the current understanding of the molecular basis of CD11b activation in solid cancers, revealing how it converts the differences in BG34 carbohydrate ligands into immune signaling responses. …”

    Actoprotective activity of 6-monosubstituted 3-R-6,7-dihydro-2H-[1,2,4]triazino-[2,3-c]quinazoline-2-ones by O. S. Kolomoets, I. S. Nosulenko, О. Yu. Voskoboynik, G. G. Berest, S. I. Kovalenko, S. D. Trzhetsinsky

    Published 2016-12-01
“…The analysis of «structure-biological activity» relationships showed that actoprotective activity of studied drugs is caused by the presence of hydrogenated [1,2,4]triazino[2,3-c]quinazoline cycle as well as by 2(4)-flourophenyl substituent of 6th position. …”

Bioconversion of lignin by oxidative enzymes for lignin depolymerization from tropical bacteria isolates by Riyadi, Fatimah Azizah

    Published 2022
“…The conversion of lignocellulosic biomass into bioethanol or biochemical products requires a crucial pre-treatment process to break down the recalcitrant lignin structure. Biological pre-treatment using microbial enzymes appears to be the most promising alternative to depolymerize the lignin fragment, which can simultaneously facilitate conversion into valuable chemical products. …”

A cardiolipina é o alvo da cardiotoxicidade dos anestésicos locais? Is cardiolipin the target of local anesthetic cardiotoxicity? by XiaoFeng Shen, FuZhou Wang, ShiQin Xu, YanNing Qian, YuSheng Liu, HongMei Yuan, QingSong Zha, ShanWu Feng, XiRong Guo, JianGuo Xu, Jie Yang

    Published 2010-08-01
“…Herein we hypothesized that local anesthetic-cardiolipin interactions were the major determinant of local anesthetic-associated cardiotoxic reaction, established by means of theoretic and structural biological methods. This interacting model would give an insight on the underlying mechanism of local anesthetic cardiotoxicity and provide clues for further in depth research on designing preventive drugs for such inadvertent accidence in routine clinical practice. …”
