    “…This paper described the concept of the Blue Economy and explored its feasibility in fisheries sector.The concept of the Blue Economy focus on sustainable practices to eliminate waste and pollution by utilizing by-products to add variety and improving productivity of business, and most importantly generate a variety of job opportunities to the people.A case study was conducted at fish cracker processing industry in Kelantan through interviews and observations to investigate how its correlation with the concept of the Blue Economy.According to the research some problems have been identified from the industry, however this project only focuses on problem that related to the waste management.The industry produces fish bone as a by-product and having problem in managing it properly.The research found that the fish cracker processing industry have practiced some aspects of the Blue Economy but inconsistently cause the problem in managing the waste still cannot be solved correctly.This research shows some improvement in implementation of the Blue Economy that can be practiced to overcome the problem.Research finally found that the waste can be recycled and produce a new product like organic fish fertilizer and animal feed which is more profitable and give a value-added to the industry.…”
