Optimizing radical prostatectomy for the early recovery of urinary continence. by Dev, H, Sooriakumaran, P, Srivastava, A, Tewari, A

    Published 2012
“…A plethora of individual technical maneuvers exist to optimize early recovery of continence, but as yet there is no composite technique that incorporates the relevant anatomic principles of minimizing damage to the urinary sphincters and their nerves, maximizing functional urethral length, creating a secure and watertight vesicourethral anastomosis, providing circumferential fascioligamentous support to the anastomosis and external sphincter, and ameliorating postoperative bladder descent. Our ten-step approach to collating these individual maneuvers into a unified technique could be used by surgeons to obtain the best possible early recovery of urinary control for their patients, without risking their oncologic outcomes.…”

Mars Climate Sounder: An investigation of thermal and water vapor structure, dust and condensate distributions in the atmosphere, and energy balance of the polar regions by McCleese, D, Schofield, J, Taylor, F, Calcutt, S, Foote, M, Kass, D, Leovy, C, Paige, D, Read, P, Zurek, R

    Published 2007
“…In particular, there is a need for detailed measurements of the vertical profiles of atmospheric temperature, water vapor, dust, and condensates to understand the intricately related processes upon which the surface conditions, and those encountered during descent by landers, depend. The most important of these missing data are accurate and extensive temperature measurements with high vertical resolution. …”

    Published 2014
“…In the current study, it was assessed whether interactions of 5-HTTLPR with childhood emotional abuse (CEA) and recent negative life events (RNLE) affect possible cognitive endophenotypes of depression, namely, attention-allocation bias and the ability to recognise others' mind states in 215 young adults of North-West European descent.
