“…Cet article examine une lecture de la coordination de deux noms propres ou pronoms sur laquelle portent l’article défini pluriel du français ou le suffixe pluriel du japonais, sans modifier la cardinalité des référents, comme dans « Les Mignon et Charrier s’étaient approchés » / « Tom et Jerry-tati se disputent ». Il est proposé que cette lecture, selon laquelle l’article et le suffixe sont apparemment redondants, est dérivée d’une autre lecture plus fréquemment observée, selon laquelle ils ne portent que sur le conjoint le plus proche, comme les (frères) Goncourt et Zola / Zola et Goncourt-tati, lorsqu’on peut concevoir contextuellement ou encyclopédiquement une propriété partagée en commun par les conjoints, analogue à un hyperonyme concevable aux cas de la coordination déterminée des noms communs. …”
