Students’ satisfaction on facilities in Universiti Utara Malaysia
Published 2016“…Service quality is one of the most important criteria to measure consumers’ satisfaction.They are not only concerned with how a service is being delivered but also with the quality of output they received.Positive perception on quality of services being delivered occurs when it exceeded customers’ expectation.A review of the literature revealed that the general description of service quality attributes are (a) tangible,(b) reliability, (c) responsiveness, (d) assurance and (e) empathy.For the purpose of indicating student’s satisfaction on the service quality of facilities in UUM, questionnaires have been distributed to students at University Utara Malaysia to explore their perception.Results from the survey were examined to see whether there is any relationship between the five service quality attributes and students’ satisfaction.…”

Recycling awareness among Universiti Utara Malaysia student
Published 2017“…Recycling activities is popular as it is crucial to the sustainability of our environment.Recycling awareness among young educated generation especially university students is critical as the flag-bearer of the world in the future.Adequately equipped with knowledge and know-how in many different kind of environmental preservation programs, university students are the least group of people expected not to know much about recycling.Nonetheless, empirical evidences on students’ recycling awareness is still very much limited.Hence, this study is carried out to address the aforementioned issue by examining students’ recycling awareness and how they manage their recyclables.The study employs quantitative research approach in which the questionnaires are distributed among students.The findings show that the recycling level of awareness among Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) is low.It is expected that these findings will be beneficial to the university’s authorities to regulate a new recycling campaign.However, it is also noted that the item constructs and number of respondents in this study could be further enlarged in order to magnify its significance.…”

TPACK confidence of pre-service teachers in Universiti Utara Malaysia
Published 2014“…The role of technology in education is undeniable (Niess, 2005).Teachers as moulders of human beings need to be skillful in integrating technology in education to deliver what they teach effectively.According to Malaysian Education Blueprint (2012) pre-service service teachers of Universiti Utara Malaysia are expected to master Information and Communication Technology (ICT) integration in the teaching and learning process (MOE, 2013).This study measures the level of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) outlined by Mishra and Koehler (2006).It includes seven knowledge dimensions, namely Content Knowledge (CK), Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), Technological Knowledge (TK), Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK), Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK), Technological Content Knowledge (TCK), Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK).This study involved 154 pre-service teachers from various programs such as a Bachelor's Degree in Education Majoring in Information Technology, Moral Education, Accounting and Business Management.Questionnaire forms were sent through a ‘Google Form’ to their respective emails and responses were analyzed using SPSS software.The findings showed that the pre-service teachers have a high level of competency, confidence and lastly TPACK.The test results have also shown that there is a significant difference between the male and female pre-service teachers regarding the confidence level in using ICT in teaching and learning as revealed by MANOVA analysis.…”
