Biochemical and biophysical studies of the regulation of chromatin folding and self-association by the N-terminal histone tails by Chen, Qinming

    Published 2016
“…We reconstituted nucleosome arrays using 12-601-177 DNA and various K16 mutated or modified Xenopus histone H4, including H4K16C, H4K16N, H4K16Q, H4K16R, H4K16me3, H4K16Ac and H4K16Q+CH2 (one thioether bond longer than H4K16Q), to investigate the mechanism of the H4K16 mediated chromatin folding and self-association using sedimentation velocity analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC) and precipitation assay measurements. …”

Effects of silencing dishevelled 1, 2 and 3 mRNA expression on MDA-MB-231 cell migration and invasion using siRNAs by Khoo, Samuel Leon Juan

    Published 2015
“…Although the involvement of Dishevelled in the non-canonical Wnt signaling pathway is less well studied compared to the canonical pathway, the role of Dishevelled is also important for cytoskeletal reorganization in planar cell polarity pathway and promoting tissue separation as well as ventral axis identity in Xenopus via the Wnt Calcium pathway. Our hypothesis is that silencing of human Dishevelled 1,2 and 3 isoforms results in inhibition of both canonical and non-canonical Wnt signaling pathway leading to reduced β-catenin interaction with TCF (T-cell Factor) and LEF (Lymphoid Enhancer Factor), reduced cell proliferation, migration and also invasion regardless of canonical or non-canonical Wnt signaling pathway. …”
