Computer simulation of operation plant effective modes for water disinfection by electrical discharges in gas bubbles by M. I. Boiko, K. S. Tatkova

    Published 2024-01-01
“…In computer simulation, we varied the following factors: the maximum simulation step, inductances, capacitances, active resistances, wave resistance of a long line, and the delay time for the operation of a spark gap simulating a discharge gap in a gas bubble. Results. Computer modeling has shown that in order to increase the voltage amplitude at the treatment unit and on the layer of treated water, it is necessary to reduce the load capacitance – the capacitance of the water layer in the treatment unit to 10 pF or less, to increase the active resistance of the water layer to 500 W or more. …”

Computational mechanisms of belief updating in relation to psychotic-like experiences by Sophie Pauline Fromm, Sophie Pauline Fromm, Sophie Pauline Fromm, Sophie Pauline Fromm, Lara Wieland, Lara Wieland, Lara Wieland, Arne Klettke, Matthew R. Nassar, Matthew R. Nassar, Teresa Katthagen, Sebastian Markett, Andreas Heinz, Florian Schlagenhauf, Florian Schlagenhauf, Florian Schlagenhauf

    Published 2023-05-01
“…PLEs were related to slower belief updating when participants encountered large prediction errors (β = −0.03 ± 0.009, p = 0.001). Computational modeling suggested that PLEs were associated with reduced overall belief updating in response to prediction errors (βPE = −1.00 ± 0.45, p = 0.028) and reduced modulation of updating at inferred environmental change points (βCPP = −0.84 ± 0.38, p = 0.023).DiscussionWe conclude that PLEs are associated with altered dynamics of belief updating. …”
