    “…This is done by using the descriptive approach,in both its correlative and comparative parts,on a sample of 250 female students from(Preparatory and secondary)schools and the university ib Port Said Governorate. Their ages ranges between 15-19 years, and they were divided into two groups: middle adolescence (the first group from15-17years)and late adolescence(the second group from 18-19 years old).This is conducted using the Social anxiety Scale(Kathryn Connor,M.et al.2000)that is translated and codified by Amany Abdel Maksoud(2007),the Self-esteem Scale(prepared by the researcher),general data from to measure the social level(prepared by the researcher),and the Body Image Scale (Zainab Mahmoud Choucair,2002).The results of the study show the following: 1- There are no statistically significant differences between younger and older female adolescents in all dimensions of social anxiety and its overall score. 2-There are no differences between the three socio-economic levels in the dimensions of self-esteem and its overall score. 3-There are no statistically significant differences between younger and older female adolescents in the body image. 4-There is a negative statistically significant correlation at 1.0 between fear as one of the dimensions of social anxiety,and all the dimensions of self-esteem and its total score.There is a negative statistically significant correlations at 1.0 between avoidance as one of the dimensions of social anxiety,and all dimensions of self-esteem and its total score.There is a negative statistically significant correlation at 1.0 between physiological symptoms as one of the dimensions of social anxiety,and all dimensions of self-esteem and its total score. …”
