L’autonomismo sicilianista di Silvio Milazzo by Pierluigi BASILE : dottore magistrale (Master’s degree) in Storia europea all’Università degli Studi di Palermo (2008) è attualmente dottorando di ricerca (PhD Student) in Storia presso l’Università di Roma Tre. Vincitore di un concorso per laureati nelle università siciliane indetto dal Centro di studi ed iniziative culturali “Pio La Torre” (2006). Diplomato in archivistica, paleografia e diplomatica ha collaborato all’attività di descrizione e inventariazione (cartacea ed elettronica) del patrimonio conservato presso l’Archivio di Stato di Palermo. Ha inoltre collaborato al progetto di ricerca di storia orale La memoria e il lutto: la strage di Portella della Ginestra nel vissuto dei protagonisti promosso dall’Istituto Meridionale di Storia e Scienze Sociali (Imes). Autore della monografia Le carte in regola. Piersanti Mattarella, un democristiano diverso (Palermo, 2010²). Nel corso delle sue ricerche si è occupato di storia sociale e politica della Sicilia contemporanea, studiando in particolare il rapporto tra mafia e potere politico tra età liberale e fascismo, la Democrazia Cristiana e la politica regionale tra gli anni Cinquanta e Settanta.
