“…In spite of all the positive properties in Namık Kemal’s works, he states that the prose he wrote to show art was an opponent to the utmost for time’s pleasure.Similarly, although the performers (poets) of literature of Cedide (Edebiyat-I Cedide) admitted the contemporary genres of the Western literature without spoiling, they ignored the natural (native) language which is the most important and essential a condition of the Western literature.Ömer Seyfettin exemplified (cited) the stories of Âşık Garip, Leyla and Mecnun, Tahir and Zühre, Âşık Kerem, Şahmeran etc., and evaluated these works not to be read as a rather deficiency. …”
