Terminal Ediacaran microbialite lithofacies associations with paleo-environmental constraints in a high-frequency sequence stratigraphic framework of Sichuan Basin, SW China
Published 2023-02-01“…The terminal Ediacaran shallow marine microbialites are significant for paleo-environment reconstruction and petroleum exploration. Their depositional and paleo-environmental characteristics during high-frequency sea-level fluctuations were paid less attention, which limited the understanding of their evolution and related reservoir characterization. …”

Reconstruction of the Diagenetic Environments of Tight Sandstone Reservoirs: A Case Study from the Tengger Formation in the Baiyinchagan Sag, Erlian Basin, Northern China
Published 2022-09-01“…This paper reports an integrated study involving thin-section petrography, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, fluid-inclusion analysis, and vitrinite reflectance analysis of Tengger Formation sandstones with the aim of characterizing the diagenetic conditions of the reservoir rocks and providing guidance for future petroleum exploration. Observed mineral assemblages, the distribution of authigenic minerals, and the distribution and nature of pores suggest the presence of two types of diagenetic environment, acidic and alkaline, which have varied over time and vertically through the rock column. …”

Lithofacies paleogeography mapping and reservoir prediction in tight sandstone strata: A case study from central Sichuan Basin, China
Published 2017-09-01“…Therefore, the prediction of reservoir sweet spots has remained problematic in the field of petroleum exploration. This study provides new insight into resolving this problem, based on the analyses of depositional characteristics of a typical modern sand-rich formation in a shallow braided river delta of the central Sichuan Basin, China. …”
