Application of Singularity Theory to the Distribution of Heavy Metals in Surface Sediments of the Zhongsha Islands by Yan Zhang, Shiqiao Liu, Li Zhang, Yongzhang Zhou, Jinqiang Liang, Jing’an Lu, Xiaoqiang Hu, Liang Liu, Liang Chen, Jingwei Zhang, Cheng Xu, Xinzhu Dong

    Published 2022-11-01
“…The goal of this study is to explore the spatial distribution characteristics of heavy metals in the surface sediments of the Zhongsha Islands. The singularity theory and method were used to delineate heavy metal geochemical anomalies and the generalized self-similarity analysis method was used to decompose heavy metal geochemical anomalies and background concentrations. …”

RESEARCH ON THE STRENGTH OF METAL ADHESIVELY BONDED OF SINGLE LAP JOINTS BASED ON SINGULARITY THEORY by WANG YuQi, HE XiaoCong, DING YanFang

    Published 2015-01-01
“…In order to study the influence of different metal materials on the strength of adhesively-bonded single lap joints( SLJ),The adhesive bonding of SLJs whose adherends were aluminum alloy, titanium alloy, copper alloy and cold rolled steel were separately tested under tension-shear loading in ANSYS software based on singularity theory. The results show that the singularity order and stress intensity factor of adhesive joints decreased with the elasticity modulus increasing, the strength of adhesive joints increased with the elasticity modulus increasing.…”

Equivariant singularity theory with distinguished parameters: Two case studies of resonant Hamiltonian systems by Broer, H, Lunter, G, Vegter, G

    Published 1998
“…The planar reduction is studied by equivariant singularity theory with distinguished parameters. The method is illustrated on the conservative spring-pendulum system near resonance, where it leads to integrable approximations of the iso-energetic Poincaré map. …”

Geometry of Developable Surfaces of Frenet Type Framed Base Curves from the Singularity Theory Viewpoint by Qiming Zhao, Lin Yang, Yongqiao Wang

    Published 2022-05-01
“…In this paper, we consider Frenet type framed base curves that may have singular points and define one-parameter developable surfaces associated with such curves. By using the singularity theory, we classify the generic singularities of the developable surfaces, which are cuspidal edges and swallowtails. …”
