Temperley–lieb algebra: from knot theory to logic and computation via quantum mechanics by Abramsky, S

    Published 2007
“…We then relate the Temperley-Lieb category to some topics in proof theory and computation. We give a direct, “fully abstract” description of the Temperley-Lieb category, in which arrows are just relations on discrete finite sets, with planarity being characterized by simple order-theoretic properties. …”

On finite dimensional Nichols algebras of diagonal type by Nicolás Andruskiewitsch, Iván Angiono

    Published 2017-12-01
“…The knowledge of these algebras is the cornerstone of the classification program of pointed Hopf algebras with finite dimension, or finite Gelfand–Kirillov dimension; and their structure should be indispensable for the understanding of the representation theory, the computation of the various cohomologies, and many other aspects of finite dimensional pointed Hopf algebras. …”

Molecular framework for designing Fluoroclay with enhanced affinity for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances by Bei Yan, Jinxia Liu

    Published 2023-05-01
“…Motivated by the need for enhancing sorbent affinity for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), we demonstrate the possibility of rationally designing clay-based material (FluoroClay) with a pre-selected intercalant and predicting sorbent performance using all-atom molecular dynamics simulation coupled with density functional theory-based computation. Perfluorohexyldodecane quaternary ammonium (F6H12A) as the selected intercalant revealed significant enhancement in adsorption affinity for hard-to-remove compounds, including perfluorobutane sulfonate (PFBS) and polyfluoroalkylethers (GenX and ADONA). …”

Kindergarden quantum mechanics graduates ...or how I learned to stop gluing LEGO together and love the ZX-calculus by Coecke, B, Horsman, D, Kissinger, A, Wang, Q

    Published 2021
“…Central to that approach was the use of pictures and pictorial transformation rules to understand and derive features of quantum theory and computation. However, this approach left many wondering ‘where's the beef?’ …”

Models of Computer Calculations by Valerii Zadiraka, Oleksandr Khimich, Inna Shvidchenko

    Published 2022-09-01
“…The complexity of computational algorithms for solving typical problems of computational, applied, and discrete mathematics is analyzed from the perspective of the theory of computation, depending on the computer architecture and the used computing model: single-processor, multiprocessor, and quantum. …”
