Nonlinear regression approach for GPS multipath mitigation : from code to carrier-phase measurements by Phan, Quoc Huy

    Published 2012
“…ciently mitigate multipath effects at observable levels to improve the accuracy and precision of GPS solutions.Based on an analysis of the geometry of a multipath signal's reflections, and the principle of GPS receiver's tracking loop, geometrical models of multipath errors are developed at observable levels (both code and carrier-phase multipath). …”

Dimensionality-dependent type-II Weyl semimetal state in Mo₀.₂₅W₀.₇₅Te₂ by Li, Peiling, Deng, Ya, Hsu, Chuang-Han, Zhu, Chao, Cui, Jian, Yang, Xue, Zhou, Jiadong, Hung, Yi-Chun, Fan, Jie, Ji, Zhongqing, Qu, Fanming, Shen, Jie, Yang, Changli, Jing, Xiunian, Lin, Hsin, Liu, Zheng, Lu, Li, Liu, Guangtong

    Published 2022
“…Recently, Mo$_{0.25}$W$_{0.75}$Te$_{2}$ has been established as a type-II WSM with Weyl points located near Fermi level, which offers an opportunity to study its intriguing band structure by electrical transport measurements. Here, by selecting a special sample with the thickness gradient across two- (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) regime, we show strong evidences that Mo$_{0.25}$W$_{0.75}$Te$_{2}$ is a type-II Weyl semimetal by observing the following two dimensionality-dependent transport features: 1) A chiral-anomaly-induced anisotropic magneto-conductivity enhancement, proportional to the square of in-plane magnetic field (B$_{in}$$^{2}$); 2) An additional quantum oscillation with thickness-dependent phase shift. …”

The thermodynamics of multicomponent high-entropy materials by Cantor, B

    Published 2024
“…Human development has been based for millennia on manufacturing materials using a conventional alloying strategy of selecting a principal component for the primary property requirement of the material and then adding one or two minor alloying components at relatively low concentrations, either to enhance the primary property or to provide additional secondary properties. …”

Adaptive goal selection for agents in dynamic environments by Zhang, Huiliang, Luo, Xudong, Shen, Zhiqi, You, Jin, Miao, Chun Yan

    Published 2013
“…However, if a goal net is very complex, the time of selection could be too long for the agent to respond quickly when the agent needs to re-select a new solution against the world’s change. Moreover, in some dynamic environments, it is impossible to know the exact outcome of choosing a solution in advance, and so the possible solutions cannot be evaluated precisely. …”
