Offset-16QAM-based coherent WDM with multi-carrier group detection
Published 2018“…Moreover, 0.5 dB required OSNR penalty at BER=10-3 is obtained given 18 GHz ADC bandwidth. Besides, we find that side carriers suffer from severer performance degradation than the central carrier with limited ADC resolution and only 0.08 dB and 0.2 dB required OSNR penalty at BER=10-3 are secured with 6 bits ADC resolution for central carrier and side carriers, respectively.…”

Upper mantle rheology from GRACE and GPS postseismic deformation after the 2004 Sumatra-Andaman earthquake
Published 2012“…This suggests that the localization of relatively low viscosity in the asthenosphere is chiefly in the transient viscosity rather than the steady state viscosity. We find a 8.10^18 Pa s mantle viscosity in the 220–660 km depth range. …”

Predicting Outcomes of Preterm Neonates Post Intraventricular Hemorrhage
Published 2024“…Intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) in preterm neonates presents a high risk for developing posthemorrhagic ventricular dilatation (PHVD), a severe complication that can impact survival and long-term outcomes. Early detection of PHVD before clinical onset is crucial for optimizing therapeutic interventions and providing accurate parental counseling. …”

Barnacle cement protein as an efficient bioinspired corrosion inhibitor
Published 2024“…We reveal that these anti-corrosion properties are linked to the protein’s biophysical properties, namely its strong adsorption to surfaces combined with its interaction with Fe ions released by steel substrates, which forms a stable layer that increases the coating’s impedance and delays corrosion. Our findings highlight the synergistic action of rMrCP20 in preventing corrosion and provide molecular-level guidelines to develop alternative green corrosion inhibitor additives.…”

Organic and inorganic sublattice coupling in two-dimensional lead halide perovskites
Published 2024“…Further evidence of the mechanical coupling between these two sublattices is revealed through the slow heat transfer process, where the resultant lattice tensile strain launches coherent longitudinal acoustic phonons. Our findings explicate the intimate electronic and mechanical couplings between the organic and inorganic sublattices, crucial for tailoring the optoelectronic properties of two-dimensional halide perovskites.…”
