A systematic analysis of the contribution of genetics to multimorbidity and comparisons with primary care data
Published 2025“…Discordance between genetic and primary care data was also observed, e.g., abdominal aortic aneurysm and bladder cancer co-occurred in primary care but were not genetically correlated (Odds-Ratio = 2.23 [2.09:2.37], 𝑅𝑔 = 0.04 [−0.20:0.28]) and schizophrenia and fibromyalgia were less likely to co-occur together in primary care but were positively genetically correlated (OR = 0.84 [0.75:0.94], 𝑅𝑔 = 0.20 [0.11:0.29]).…”

Rhenium diselenide (ReSe2) near-infrared photodetector : performance enhancement by selective p-doping technique
Published 2020“…In this study, a near-infrared photodetector featuring a high photoresponsivity and a short photoresponse time is demonstrated, which is fabricated on rhenium diselenide (ReSe2) with a relatively narrow bandgap (0.9-1.0 eV) compared to conventional transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs). …”

Charge-depletion-enhanced WSe2 quantum emitters on gold nanogap arrays with near-unity quantum efficiency
Published 2024“…In this condition, for site-controlled SPEs in WSe2 coupled to gold nanogaps, the SPE transition quantum efficiency after gating is increased to 76.4 ± 14.6% on average, with some SPEs reaching near-unity (more than 90%) quantum efficiency. This study provides a new approach for tuning SPEs with an applied gate voltage and motivates further theoretical and experimental studies of SPE enhancement on vertically aligned nanogaps.…”

A dual-functional benzobisthiadiazole derivative as an effective theranostic agent for near-infrared photoacoustic imaging and photothermal therapy
Published 2016“…Herein, we report a theranostic agent based on a narrow-‐bandgap small molecule, benzo[1,2-c;4,5-c’]bis[1,2,5]thiadiazole-4,7-bis(9,9-dioctyl-9H-fluoren-2-yl)thiophene (denoted as BBT-2FT), with strong absorption of near infrared (NIR) light. Colloidal nanoparticles composed of BBT‐2FT show photoacoustic signal intensity 10 times higher than that of blood, and high photothermal conversion efficiency (η=40%) under irradiation of 800-nm laser light that kills over 90% HeLa cells in 10 mins.…”
