CO2 based multizone demand-controlled ventilation
Published 2018“…The proposed algorithm obtained by cascading fuzzy-logic based feedforward control and PID-based feedback control, controls airflow rate in a conditioned space by monitoring carbon dioxide (CO2) during occupied hours and maintains a minimum flow to dilute contaminants released by Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) inside a room, during unoccupied hours. …”

Discovering non-equilibrium mechanisms that regulatestructure and function of biomolecular condensates usingphase-field modeling
Published 2024“…However, the living cell is inherently out of equilibrium with non-equilibrium reactions that constantly burn ATP and turn over biomolecules. My thesis investigates how the interplay between biomolecular interactions and non-equilibrium reactions that turn over biomolecules affect the structure and function of biomolecular condensates. …”

Three-dimensional structure of Megabalanus rosa cement protein 20 revealed by multi-dimensional NMR and molecular dynamics simulations
Published 2021“…Here, we conducted multi-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) studies and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of recombinant Megabalanus rosa Cement Protein 20 (rMrCP20). Our NMR results show that rMrCP20 contains three main folded domain regions intervened by two dynamic loops, resulting in multiple protein conformations that exist in equilibrium. …”

Scenes of misrecognition (Koltès, Duras)
Published 2024“…Whether these disclosures are extracted under the glare of courtroom or police interrogations, or elicited in the more intimate settings of the bedroom or the analyst’s couch, modern theater’s interest in confessions appears to reside less in their probative value than in the questions they raise about the dramatic form and our investment in it. This article’s author proposes to pursue this inquiry through a discussion of two plays: Marguerite Duras’s oft-staged récit from 1982, La Maladie de la mort, and Bernard-Marie Koltès’s 1986 play Dans la solitude des champs de coton. …”

A longitudinal study of the tax capacity and tax effort of the Malaysian state government
Published 2012“…The main objective of this paper is to measure the effort and capacity of the state governments in Peninsular Malaysia for their land tax for the period of 2000-2008 using the Representative Revenue System (RRS).Our findings show that state governments differ significantly in term of their capacity and their effort. The findings of this study also show that there is little movement in the ranking of the state governments with respect to the level of their tax effort. This implies that state governments especially the ones found to be exerting below average tax effort have shown little initiative to change their effort. This in turn may be due to the way the whole tax system is managed…”
