Novel β-TCP/PVA bilayered hydrogels with considerable physical and bio-functional properties for osteochondral repair
Published 2020“…A novel integrated bilayered hydrogel osteochondral replacement was constructed by blending polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) in this study. Separated nano-ball milling with ultrasound dispersion prepared β-TCP demonstrated suitable properties of tiny particle size, high purity and ideal distribution, improving the mechanical properties of the novel integrated hydrogel, and providing a cartilage-like lubrication effect and high biocompatibility, including cytocompatibility and osteogenesis. …”

Titanium–aluminum–polytetrafluoroethylene coated stainless steel micromold via co-sputtering deposition : replication performance and limitation in hot-embossing
Published 2013“…The sputtering power applied to the PTFE target was varied to control the PTFE concentration in the Ti–Al–PTFE coatings, which affected the bonding structure, surface roughness, friction and contact angle of coatings characterized using micro-Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), confocal microscopy, ball-on-disc tribometer and goniometer, respectively. …”

Adversarial robustness of deep reinforcement learning
Published 2022“…However, such an assumption not only makes the robustness improvement more expensive, but may also leave a model less effective to other kinds of attacks in the wild. In contrast, we propose an adversary agnostic robust DRL paradigm that does not require learning from adversaries. …”

Multiplexed CRISPR/CAS9‐mediated engineering of pre‐clinical mouse models bearing native human B cell receptors
Published 2024“…We demonstrate that B cells from these mice are fully functional: upon transfer to congenic, wild type mice at controlled frequencies, such B cells can be primed by eOD‐GT8 60mer, a germline‐targeting immunogen currently in clinical trials, recruited to germinal centers, secrete class‐switched antibodies, undergo somatic hypermutation, and differentiate into memory B cells. …”

Effects of clozapine-N-oxide and compound 21 on sleep in laboratory mice
Published 2023“…Here, we show that intraperitoneal injections of commonly used CNO doses (1, 5, and 10 mg/kg) alter sleep in wild-type male laboratory mice. Using electroencephalography (EEG) and electromyography (EMG) to analyse sleep, we found a dose-dependent suppression of rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, changes in EEG spectral power during non-REM (NREM) sleep, and altered sleep architecture in a pattern previously reported for clozapine. …”
