Poisson vector graphics (PVG)
Published 2020“…PVG distinguishes itself from other diffusion based vector graphics for 3 unique features: 1) explicit separation of colors and tones, which follows the basic drawing principle and eases editing; 2) native support of seamless cloning in the sense that PCs and PRs can automatically fit into the target background; and 3) allowed intersecting primitives (except for DC-DC intersection) so that users can create layers. Through extensive experiments and a preliminary user study, we demonstrate that PVG is a simple yet powerful authoring tool that can produce photo-realistic vector graphics from scratch.…”

Salient object detection by fusing local and global contexts
Published 2022“…In addition, an attention-guided hierarchical network architecture is designed to capture fine-grained spatial details by transmitting contextual information from deeper to shallower network layers in a top-down manner. Extensive experiments on six public SOD datasets show that our proposed model demonstrates superior SOD performance against most of the current state-of-the-art models under different evaluation metrics.…”

Projectile impact-induced spalling damage on carbon fiber reinforced polymer strengthened RC plates
Published 2023“…In consideration of the complexity of transient behavior as well as multiply parameters involved, empirical approaches based on dimensionless analysis are proposed to predict the diameter and depth of spalling craters on normal RC plates and strengthened ones with frontal CFRP layers, which fill current research gap and are potential tools for damage assessment and repair. …”
