Solid-State P NMR, Far-IR, and Structural Studies on Two-Coordinate (Tris(2,4,6-trimethoxyphenyl)phosphine)copper(I) Chloride and Bromide
Published 1989“…The spectrum for each complex shows an asymmetric quartet centered at -65 ppm with highly asymmetric line spacings of 1.40, 2.21, and 2.50 kHz and 1.48, 2.17, and 2.43 kHz, respectively. These data have been used to estimate copper nuclear quadrupole coupling constants for the two compounds.…”

Which surrogate insulin resistance indices best predict coronary artery disease? A machine learning approach
Published 2024“…The receiver operating curve (ROC) was employed to compare the predictive efficacy of these indices and their corresponding cutoff values for predicting CAD. We also used three distinct embedded feature selection methods: LASSO, Random Forest feature selection, and the Boruta algorithm, to evaluate and compare surrogate markers of insulin resistance in predicting CAD. …”

Compressed sensing: a discrete optimization approach
Published 2024“…On real world ECG data, for a given ℓ2 reconstruction error our approach produces solutions that are on average 9.95% more sparse than benchmark methods (3.88% more sparse if only compared against the best performing benchmark), while for a given sparsity level our approach produces solutions that have on average 10.77% lower reconstruction error than benchmark methods (1.42% lower error if only compared against the best performing benchmark). When used as a component of a multi-label classification algorithm, our approach achieves greater classification accuracy than benchmark compressed sensing methods. …”

Titanium dioxide/agglomerated-free reduced graphene oxide hybrid photoanode film for dye-sensitized solar cells photovoltaic performance improvement
Published 2020“…The produced TC14-rGO was also hybridized with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), which then coated by thin platinum (Pt) NPs (TC14-rGO_MWCNTs/Pt) and used as counter electrode (CE) thin film. Based on solar simulator measurements, the highest energy conversion efficiency (η) (1.559%) was achieved by TiO 2 NRs–NFs/TC14-rGO/TiO 2 NPs hybrid photoanode film with the short current density (J sc ), open circuit voltage (V oc ), and fill factor (FF) of 3.275 mA/cm 2 , 0.747 V, and 53.5, respectively as compared to others fabricated photoanode films; non-ann TiO 2 NRs–NFs/TiO 2 NPs (1.215%), ann TiO 2 NRs–NFs/TiO 2 NPs (1.462%), and TiO 2 NRs–NFs/TiO 2 NPs/TC14-rGO (0.525%). …”

Phase transitions by an abundant protein in the anammox extracellular matrix mediate cell-to-cell aggregation and biofilm formation
Published 2021“…The disordered domains bound to the substratum and thereby facilitated the adhesion of negatively charged latex microspheres, which were used as a proxy for cells. The disordered domains and isolated whole surface protein also underwent liquid-liquid phase separation to form liquid droplets in suspension. …”

Mechanical polishing of fan blade by a prototype random-orbital tool
Published 2022“…It is therefore essential for the fan blade surface to pre-treated with appropriate surface conditions to promote good surface-to-surface adhesion at the end of the manufacturing cycle. The existing method uses a single-axis rotary polishing tool where an external water coolant source is performed ad-hoc. …”
