Dynamics in blue emitting metal halide perovskites for light emitting diodes
Published 2023“…We first find that compositional heterogeneities, stemming from rapid uncontrolled film growth, both lowers the threshold for further halide segregation as well as serves as centers for non-radiative recombination, resulting in reduced luminescence yield. We show that by carefully moderating the crystallization dynamics it is possible to achieve films with a homogeneous composition, thereby mitigating the negative effects arising from material inhomogeneities. …”

Synthesis and optical study of lead halide perovskites for opto-electronic applications
Published 2018“…In the study of the material optical properties, I have discovered that both 2D and 3D perovskites have super strong phonon-assisted upconversion photoluminescence, a critical condition to achieve laser cooling in semiconductor. By carefully design experiment and sample fabrication, I were able to achieve net laser cooling in the material and substantially extend the toolbox for future application of the field. …”

Topochemical manipulation of some complex transition metal oxides
Published 2016“…The observed differing reactivity is inconsistent with the crystal structure and composition of the LaSrNiRuO6 samples, from which all the materials are identical. Careful investigation of the X-ray diffraction data collected from the LaSrNiRuO6 materials revealed that the reactivity of the samples is a consequence of the microstructure. …”

Physiological stress responses and meat quality of rabbits subjected to different road transportation and slaughter methods
Published 2014“…All in all, the present study has shown than that transport and slaughter caused substantial physiological stress responses, and even though these may not necessarily translate into compromising of animal welfare, care must be taken to avoid reaching the threshold to negatively affect meat quality. …”
