Thickness-dependent evolutions of domain configuration and size in ferroelectric and ferroelectric-ferroelastic films by Huang, C. W., Chen, Z. H., Chen, Lang

    Published 2013
“…Non-monotonous thickness-dependent ferroelectric and ferroelectric-ferroelastic domain size scaling behaviors were revealed in ferroelectric films, including three distinct regions: (I) a classical 1/2 power law relationship for thick films, (II) a deviation from the 1/2 scaling relationship for an intermediate thickness range, and (III) an exponential increase in ultrathin films when decreasing the film thickness. The calculations indicate a much narrower region (II) in ferroelectric films with ferroelectric domains than that with ferroelectric-ferroelastic ones. …”

A lingering hint of exoticism : postcolonialism and the shifting 20th century tourism representations of Singapore, 1900-1980s by Ng, Chen Eng

    Published 2019
“…It also argues that while some continuity in colonial themes can still be observed even when the danger of alienation has passed, these themes were gradually being altered and blended with other elements, such as modernity, to form part of Singapore’s national identity. …”

Design and implementation of stress detection system by Chen, Mei Jie

    Published 2023
“…By studying stress detection methods through signal processing methods and various forms of machine learning, the study contributed significantly to the eventual development of an application that can prompt stress management techniques for the user when elevated stress levels are detected. This is a significant step in smart wellbeing management applications as it can be integrated into everyday life to prompt intervention the moment one is feeling stressed. …”

Developing metallic cathode for low-temperature solid oxide fuel cell applications by Yu, Chen-Chiang

    Published 2017
“…To study the effect of GDC coating on surface O-exchange properties, a “porous and dense” bi-layered Ag cathode and a “porous” Ag cathode were used for surface modification. When GDC capping was applied, the ohmic resistance reduced from 1186.0 to 1052.0 Ωcm2 while the polarization resistance increased from 767.3 to 2541.4 Ωcm2 at 400 ˚C for the bi-layered Ag cathode; for the porous Ag cathode, the ohmic resistance reduced from 1190.0 to 963.5 Ωcm2 while the polarization resistance increased from 325.8 to 421.2 Ωcm2. …”
