Hybrid Federalization in India, Sri Lanka and Nepal
Published 2018“…The five previous constitutions of Nepal failed and did not manage to avoid discrimination or overcome the domination of the majority ethnic group (Lawoti, 2007), and agreements with and principles for different members of society have not always been adhered to or delivered (Hachhethu, 2009). For more than 60 years Nepal has struggled to find appropriate solutions to problems of development, democracy, peace and equality (Von Einsiedel, Malone and Pradhan, 2012) and its new constitution has proffered a new direction for Nepal, albeit with continued contestation and disagreement.…”

Topological effects on the magnetoconductivity in topological insulators
Published 2015“…In addition, we present both an analytical formula and numerical results for the tilted-field magnetoconductivity which has been measured in several experiments. Lastly, we predict that as the temperature is reduced Δσ will enter a wrapped regime where it is sensitive to diffusion processes which make one or more circuits around the TI. …”

Are you thinking what I'm thinking? : an exploratory study on the attitudes of pregnant employees and co-workers towards workplace pregnancy.
Published 2009“…Our forum findings shed a different perspective: female employees have the liberty to prioritise between family and career but they will have to bear the consequences of their choice. Recommendations by employees include hiring of temporary help, allowing for flexible working hours and open communication channels. …”

从流传和演变角度探析民间童话故事《虎姑婆》的教育意义 = An investigation of the transmission and educational implication of the folk tale “Aunt Tiger”
Published 2012“…This Chinese folk tale was first written down as text by Huang Zhijuan during the Qing dynasty, though it may have been in existence long before its written form. The story was circulated to different areas in China and Taiwan, and as time went by, the title of the story took different forms such as “Grandma Fox”, “Grandma Bear”, “Grandma Tiger”, and “Mother Tiger”. …”

Autism narratives in Singapore
Published 2021“…Examining Singaporean autism narratives allows us insight into the ways in which dominant global discourses about autism are negotiated in local contexts; narratives are shaped by their socio-cultural contexts and examining those from Singapore, a globalised and multicultural, yet socially conservative city-state, enables us to understand the ways in which such multiple discourses come to bear upon individual narratives. Given that these narratives have, in turn, the potential to shape cultural discourses, and having shown through close literary analysis some effects of existing stereotypes and discourses, I argue for the urgency and importance of attending to narrative ethics in the production of autism narratives in Singapore.…”

Structural behavior of tubular frame under elevated temperature
Published 2009“…In this study, a two-bay-two-floor steel tubular frame, separated as four individual compartments, was modeled to investigate the behaviour of tubular frame under transient elevated temperature. To bear a resemblance to real fire condition, transient elevated temperature analysis was run to provide a more realistic solution. …”
