Impact of structural eurocodes on steel and composite structures by Jin, Y. F., Cai, Y. Q., Chiew, Sing Ping, Lee, Chi King

    Published 2014
“…In this connection, this paper investigates five key design aspects comprising material properties, flexural buckling resistance of compression members with Grade S460 steel, shear buckling resistance of plated structures, web bearing and buckling resistance of the plated structures under transverse force and lateral-torsional buckling of composite beam. …”

Electrospun conductive polyaniline–polylactic acid composite nanofibers as counter electrodes for rigid and flexible dye-sensitized solar cells by Mhaisalkar, Subodh Gautam, Ramakrishna, Seeram, Peng, Shengjie, Zhu, Peining, Wu, Yongzhi

    Published 2013
“…The photoelectric conversion efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) firstly based on such rigid and flexible PANI·CSA–PLA counter electrodes achieves 5.3% and 3.1% under 1 sun illumination of 100 mW cm−2 (AM 1.5), respectively, which is close to that of sputtered Pt-based DSCs. …”

In-site pollen record from the Dadiwan archaeological site and the human-environment relationship during Marine Oxygen Isotope Stage 3 by Peng, Wei, Huang, Xiaozhong, Zhang, Dongju, Storozum, Michael J., Chen, Fahu

    Published 2021
“…Our comparison of multiple datasets suggests that regional human activities increased when the vegetation around the Dadiwan area shifted from forest steppe in the early MIS 3 (59-46.7 ka) to steppe in the middle to late MIS 3 (46.7-29.5 ka). Our results indicate that regional human activities increased again during the late MIS 3 when the amount of precipitation was higher, as indicated by the lower Artemisia proportion. …”

Polypyrrole nanorod networks/carbon nanoparticles composite counter electrodes for high-efficiency dye-sensitized solar cells by Peng, Shengjie, Tian, Lingling, Liang, Jing, Mhaisalkar, Subodh Gautam, Ramakrishna, Seeram

    Published 2013
“…The better catalytic performance is attributed to the interaction of the superior electrocatalytic activity of the unique polypyrrole nanorod networks and the carbon nanoparticles, which can accelerate triiodide reduction and electron transfer in the electrode. Under standard AM 1.5 sunlight illumination, the dye-sensitized solar cell based on the PPy/C composite with 10% carbon content as the counter electrode demonstrates a high efficiency of 7.2%, which is much higher than that of pristine PPy and carbon electrode-based DSCs and comparable to that of the thermal decomposed Pt-based DSC.…”

Renewable energy integration into smart grids : problems and solutions — Singapore experience by Koh, Leong Hai, Tan, Yen Kheng, Wang, Peng, Tseng, King Jet

    Published 2013
“…Singapore being a city state with 712.4km2, 5.183million people, S$59,813 Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capital, population density of 7,126 per square kilometer [1] and limited natural resources, identified her GHG emission as carbon dioxide (CO2) mainly from combustion of fossil fuels and natural gas to generate energy meeting development and human needs. …”

The colloidal stability of water-in-oil-in-water double emulsion stabilized by Pickering emulsifier mixture in encapsulating ethanolic kenaf leaves extract by Elaine, Elaine, Tan, Chin Ping, Akanda, Md Jahurul Haque, Nyam, Kar Lin

    Published 2024
“…PEM consists of sodium caseinate, tween-20, and beta-cyclodextrin at the fixed ratio of 57.9:27.6:14.5% (w/w/w). Key parameters such as droplet size, polydispersity index, creaming index, encapsulation efficiency, and droplet morphology were monitored during 5-week storage at 25 °C. …”
