Ion irradiation to control size, composition and dispersion of metal nanoparticle exsolution
Published 2024“…Finally, we demonstrated that nanocatalysts prepared by irradiation-assisted exsolution exhibit superior catalytic activity toward water-splitting reactions than those produced using conventional exsolution methods. These findings highlight the potential of ion irradiation for engineering nanoparticle exsolution in diverse materials systems, with broad implications for electrochemical and electronic applications.…”

Psychological predictors of short-term lower-limb orthotic device adherence : an exploratory study
Published 2021“…Only body image disturbance [t(35) = -2.20 , p = .035] and the HRQoL domain of energy/fatigue [t(35) = 2.08 , p = .045] significantly changed after 30 days of wear. Our findings here emphasise the need for more concordant patient-clinician relationships to promote orthotic device adherence.…”

Effect of vitamin A on adult lung function: a triangulation of evidence approach
Published 2025“…We then assessed the causality of these associations using Mendelian randomisation (MR), and we investigated the effects on adult lung function of 39 genes related to vitamin A, and their interaction with vitamin A intake. Findings: Our observational analysis suggests a positive association between carotene intake and FVC only (13.3 mL per 100 µg/day; p=2.9×10−9), with stronger associations in smokers, but no association of retinol intake with FVC or FEV1/FVC. …”
