A review: Deep learning for 3D reconstruction of human motion detection
Published 2022“…Deep learning theory has made important achievements in human motion detection, recognition, tracking and other aspects, and human motion detection and recognition is an important link in 3D reconstruction. In this paper, the deep learning algorithms in recent years, mainly used for human motion detection and recognition, are reviewed, and the existing methods are divided into three types: CNN-based, RNN-based and GNN-based. …”

Epithelial-mesenchymal transition of cancer cells using bioengineered hybrid scaffold composed of hydrogel/3D-fibrous framework
Published 2019“…In this study, we focused on two major points (i) designing and fabrication of 3D hybrid scaffolds comprising electrospun fibers with cancer cells embedded within hydrogels, and (ii) determining the potential roles of 3D hybrid scaffolds associated with EMT in cancer progression and metastasis. Our findings revealed that 3D hybrid scaffold enhances cell proliferation and induces cancer cells to undergo EMT, as demonstrated by significant up-regulation of EMT associated transcriptional factors including Snail1, Zeb1, and Twist2; and mesenchymal markers whereas epithelial marker, E-Cadherin was downregulated. …”

Are narcissists more creative? Only if we believe it: how narcissism can relate to creativity
Published 2023“…Based on the theory of impression management, we suggested that narcissism and creativity may have a more complex relationship rather than a simple linear link. To test this relationship, we conducted a survey of 596 subordinates and 60 leaders in three high-technology companies. …”

Distributed control of hybrid AC microgrids with dynamic active and reactive power capacity tuning
Published 2013“…Tying them either to the mains grid or among themselves would certainly require some interlinking power converters, whose control should preferably be done autonomously without demanding communication links. This paper proposes distributed control for power management between two Microgrids interlinked through inverters. …”

Cefalexin-immobilized multi-walled carbon nanotubes show strong antimicrobial and anti-adhesion properties
Published 2013“…In this report, we demonstrate that the covalent immobilization of the antibiotic cefalexin via poly(ethylene glycol) as a linking agent improves the antimicrobial and anti-adhesive properties of MWNTs against both Gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and Gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis). …”

Can PECL help with vexing issues of maritime law? Critical reflections from the example of the Rotterdam Rules
Published 2015“…This paper studies the trajectory, background and objectives of PECL and identifies the link between contract law and maritime laws (namely carriage of goods by sea and international sale of goods). The author will present the intricacies of these laws, in an attempt to justify why, despite extensive codification and standardisation, maritime law is still in need of legal certainty and occasionally of fairer application of the law to the disputes not only by national courts, but also in the wider European context. …”

Community detection on directed networks with missing edges
Published 2024“…In this work, we extend the recently developed Flow Stability framework, originally designed for detecting communities in time-varying networks, to address the problem of community detection in weighted, directed networks with missing links. Our approach leverages known uncertainty levels in nodes' out-degrees to enhance the robustness of community detection. …”
