Evaluation of diabetic wound healing properties of moringa oleifera lam using in vitro and in vivo wound models
Published 2015“…The bioactive compounds present in aqueous fraction have also been successfully identified and confirmed by HPLC and LC-MS/MS using standard vicenin-2 compound. These findings suggested that, topical administration of bioactive aqueous fraction of M. oleifera containing Vicenin-2 compound may accelerate wound healing in hyperglycemic condition. …”

Global, regional, and national mortality among young people aged 10–24 years, 1950–2019: a systematic analysis for the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019
Published 2022“…We assess the association between SDI and all-cause mortality in 2019, and analyse the ratio of observed to expected mortality by SDI using the most recent available data release (2017). Findings: In 2019 there were 1·49 million deaths (95% uncertainty interval 1·39–1·59) worldwide in people aged 10–24 years, of which 61% occurred in males. 32·7% of all adolescent deaths were due to transport injuries, unintentional injuries, or interpersonal violence and conflict; 32·1% were due to communicable, nutritional, or maternal causes; 27·0% were due to non-communicable diseases; and 8·2% were due to self-harm. …”

A machine-learned approach for reducing airborne delays and environmental impact in terminal manoeuvring area using extended arrival management
Published 2024“…Results show that $65\%$ of TMA delays can be shifted to the cruise phase, saving 1.5 tonnes of fuel and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 4.8 tonnes for one day’s arrivals. The findings indicate that implementing an extended arrival manager in Singapore and Southeast Asia can effectively manage TMA congestion, reduce fuel consumption, and lower carbon dioxide emissions. …”

Global burden and strength of evidence for 88 risk factors in 204 countries and 811 subnational locations, 1990–2021: a systematic analysis for the Global Burden of Disease Study 2...
Published 2024“…Estimates reported represent the mean value across 500 draws from the estimate's distribution, with 95% uncertainty intervals (UIs) calculated as the 2·5th and 97·5th percentile values across the draws.
Findings
Among the specific risk factors analysed for this study, particulate matter air pollution was the leading contributor to the global disease burden in 2021, contributing 8·0% (95% UI 6·7–9·4) of total DALYs, followed by high systolic blood pressure (SBP; 7·8% [6·4–9·2]), smoking (5·7% [4·7–6·8]), low birthweight and short gestation (5·6% [4·8–6·3]), and high fasting plasma glucose (FPG; 5·4% [4·8–6·0]). …”

Global age-sex-specific mortality, life expectancy, and population estimates in 204 countries and territories and 811 subnational locations, 1950–2021, and the impact of the COVID-...
Published 2024“…Uncertainty intervals (UIs) were calculated for every metric using the 25th and 975th ordered values from a 1000-draw posterior distribution.
Findings
Global all-cause mortality followed two distinct patterns over the study period: age-standardised mortality rates declined between 1950 and 2019 (a 62·8% [95% UI 60·5–65·1] decline), and increased during the COVID-19 pandemic period (2020–21; 5·1% [0·9–9·6] increase). …”

Published 2024“…A positive skill metric indicates that the model being evaluated performs better than the baseline model (here, a simplified model holding 2007 values constant in the future), and a negative metric indicates that the evaluated model performs worse than baseline.
Findings
During the period from 1950 to 2021, global TFR more than halved, from 4·84 (95% UI 4·63–5·06) to 2·23 (2·09–2·38). …”
