Heavy metals removal from synthetic wastewater by a novel nano-size composite adsorbent
Published 2011“…Experimental conditions resulting in optimal metals adsorption were observed at pH 5, 1 g/L dosage and 60 min contact time. It was noted that the percentage of metals removal at the equilibrium condition varied for each metal, with lead recording 99 %, copper 61 % and nickel 20 % , giving metal affinity trend of Pb2+ > Cu2+ > Ni2+ on the adsorbent. …”

An investigation of hole quality during drilling of carbon fibre reinforced plastic and titanium (Ti6Al4V) using tungsten carbide drills
Published 2020“…The drilling trials were conducted through CFRP/Ti stacks, CFRP-only and Ti-only using carbide drills (6.1 mm diameter) at a cutting speed of 50 m/min and a feed rate of 0.05 mm/rev. The quality of the drilled holes was evaluated with respect to the hole diameters, delamination and pull-out of CFRP as well as Ti burr. …”

CONSERVATION OF NATURAL RESOURCES: UTILIZATION OF SEWAGE SLUDGE IN BRICK AND ITS IMPACT ON GAS EMISSIONS AND INDOOR AIR QUALITY
Published 2023“…The bricks were incorporated with two types of sewage sludge (0% and 5%), fired at 1050ºC with 1ºC/min as its heating rate. The X-ray fluorescence (XRF) test was conducted to determine the characteristics of the sewage sludge and clay soil. …”

Effect of sugar palm fibers on the properties of blended wheat starch/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) -based biocomposite films
Published 2023“…It has been found that reinforcing plasticized starch/PVA matrix with palm fibers has considerably enhanced physical properties, the density of the polymer declined to 1.21 g/cm3 with untreated fibers and to 1.32 g/cm3 with treated fibers, which created a lighter weight bioplastic, and a reduction occurred in water absorption (for example 3% of treated fiber showed 143% absorbed water after 30 min immersing in water) and water solubility. When compared to the films without fibers filler, films reinforced with fibers demonstrated a c3onsiderable improvement in the crystal profile; at 9% fiber load, it improved over double. …”
