Stochastic modelling of the hybrid survival curve
Published 2016“…In this paper, building upon the idea of cross-sectional survival probabilities developed by Brouard (Espaces Popul Soc 2(14–15):157–168, 1986), we propose using stochastic models to study the evolution of a new type of survival curves called hybrid survival curve. We find that the three-factor survival model provides a better model fitting than the two-factor survival model. …”

Do internally managed REITs manage earnings more than externally managed REITs?
Published 2024“…Using a sample of listed South African REITs for the 2013 - 2021 time period, we examine the relationship between management structures and earnings management. We do not find any aggressive practice in internally managed REITs during the study period. …”

Conflict and contract use in cross-cultural buyer–supplier relationships: the role of cultural context
Published 2024“…Study 1 involves multiple, in-depth case studies of conflict between three Indian suppliers and six of their international buyers from China, Germany, and the United States. Our findings highlight how the use of contractual control or coordination is interpreted differently depending on the supplier's cultural context. …”

Quantum Monte Carlo study of the phase diagram of the two-dimensional uniform electron liquid
Published 2024“…System-size-dependent errors in Slater-Jastrowbackflow DMC energies caused by partially converged VMC energy minimization calculations are discussed. We find that, for 1 ≤ rs ≤ 5, optimizing the backflow function at each twist lowers the twist-averaged DMC energy at finite system size. …”

Long-term effects of early life rainfall shocks on foundational cognitive skills: evidence from Peru
Published 2024“…Our results show significant negative effects of early life exposure to rainfall shocks on EFs—especially, on working memory—measured in later childhood. We also find evidence of rainfall shocks decreasing households’ abilities to invest in human capital, which may affect both FCSs and domain-specific test scores. …”
