Toxicity, permeability and drug-metabolizing enzyme activities of curcumin analogues
Published 2015“…The heartbeats of zebrafish larvae subjected to BDMC33 and MS65, separately, for 5 days were 113±0.05 min-1(BDMC33), 112±0.12 min-1 (MS65), 109.3±0.14 min-1 (curcumin), and 110±1.10 min-1 (EF-24), while that of the normal zebrafish larvae was 117±0.15min-1. …”

The influence of Ti doping on morphology and photoelectrochemical properties of hematite grown from aqueous solution for water splitting
Published 2019“…Herein, we have investigated the influence of Ti doping on the morphology change and find that insufficient precursor concentration is the main reason for the morphology deviation from the optimized nanorod structure. …”

The central element of the synaptonemal complex in mice is organized as a bilayered junction structure
Published 2017“…Distribution of immuno-gold particles in a lateral view of the synaptonemal complex, supported by protein interaction data, suggest that the N-terminal region of SYCP1 and SYCE3 form a joint bilayered central structure, and that SYCE1 and SYCE2 localize in between the two layers. We find that disruption of SYCE2 and TEX12 (a fourth central element protein) localization to the central element abolishes central alignment of the N-terminal region of SYCP1. …”

Electron transport and visible light absorption in a plasmonic photocatalyst based on strontium niobate
Published 2018“…Here we study epitaxial thin films of SrNbO3+δ and find that their bandgaps are ∼4.1 eV. Surprisingly, the carrier density of the conducting phase exceeds 1022 cm−3 and the carrier mobility is only 2.47 cm2 V−1 s−1. …”

Investigation of nonlinear ultrasonic guided waves in open waveguides based on perfectly matched layers
Published 2018“…Two examples, an aluminum plate attached to an elastomer and an aluminum plate with water loaded on one side, are studied to demonstrate the proposed methods and reveal some interesting phenomena that only exist in open waveguides. It is interesting to find out that the amplitude of the attenuated second harmonic wave in immersed waveguides can keep constant with propagation distance, only if the primary wave is non-leaky, which may bring potential non-destructive test applications for underwater inspections. …”

Wetting transition of sessile and condensate droplets on copper-based superhydrophobic surfaces
Published 2019“…The apparent contact angle on the surfaces of coarsely packed nano-asperities reduces from over 150° to around 110°, and the sliding angle increases from less than 5° to over 60° within 200 s, whereas the changes of both angles on the surfaces of densely packed nano-asperities are not noticeable. We also find that in dropwise condensation, condensed droplets on the surfaces of densely packed nano-asperities maintain a stable Cassie’s mode, while condensate droplets on the surfaces of coarsely packed nano-asperities are in Wenzel’s mode. …”
