Synthesis and electrochemical performance of aluminum antimonide alloy anode prepared by melt spinning
Published 2014“…The breakdown of AlSb phase into individual Al and Sb particles has led to cracking and loss of electrode contact due to the large volume expansion created by Al and Sb phase reaction with lithium during cycling process. The discussed findings highlights the advantages of the melt spun Al-Sb alloys as anode and the possibilities for further development of this material as a potential candidate for the next generation of anode material for lithium ion batteries with superior electrochemical properties.…”

Comparison of diabetic and non-diabetic human leukocytic responses to different capsule types of klebsiella pneumoniae responsible for causing pyogenic liver abscess
Published 2018“…Ability of representative capsule types (K1, K2, and non-K1/K2 strains) to survive intra- and extra-cellular killing by type 2 DM and healthy neutrophils was subsequently examined. Key findings were: (1) type 2 DM and healthy neutrophils exhibited comparable total, phagocytic, and NETs killing against hvKP, (2) phagocytic and NETs killing were equally effective against hvKP, and (3) hypermucoviscous K1 and K2 strains were more resistant to total, phagocytic, and NETs killing compared to the non-mucoviscous, non-K1/K2 strain. …”

Luteolin escape mutants of dengue virus map to prM and NS2B and reveal viral plasticity during maturation
Published 2019“…On the other hand the SM1 immature virus showed some cleavage while the DM immature virus revealed efficient furin cleavage of prM even in the presence of 50 μM luteolin. Our findings suggest that luteolin inhibition of furin may occur at host/pathogen interface that permits the virus to escape the suppression by mutating key residue that may lead to an altered interface.…”

Afiksasi nomina dalam bahasa Indonesia
Published 2023“…The quantitative approach also allows us to describe the word-class preferences of noun-forming affixes. Our findings indicate that the affix ke-/-an tends to be derived from the adjective word, the affix per-/-an has an over-representation for noun-based words, and verbs have an over-representation as a base word for the affixes -an peN-, and peN-/-an. …”

Meta-analysis of GHG mitigation potentials of the application of anaerobic digestion in dairy farms
Published 2016“…However, important methodologies such as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Guidelines, rely only on a small sample of the accumulated scientific findings in the field. This thesis improves the robustness of these methodologies by applying data-driven techniques to estimate values of the energy output of AD systems and their consequent effect in GHG emissions.…”

Factors influencing career success of women managers in Malaysian public sector
Published 2015“…Three groups of variables were identified in predicting women managers’ objective and subjective career success; i) individual related variables (self-efficacy, proactive personality and extraversion), ii) human capital variables (work experience and sense of competence) and iii) organizational related variables (organizational culture and perceived organizational justice). The findings of this study revealed that individual, human capital and organizational factors have significant effect on women managers’ objective and subjective career success. …”

Laboratory studies on the mechanical properties of sulphur-based construction material at simulated Martian temperatures
Published 2024“…The 60 % sulphur content is suggested for structural elements built internally whereas the 50 % sulphur content demonstrated a high potential in adapting to the harsh Martian environmental conditions. The findings of this study hoped to act as the initial outlook on how such Martian sulphur-based construction material would react upon fabrication on Mars.…”

Loss of caveolin-1 impairs light flicker-induced neurovascular coupling at the optic nerve head
Published 2022“…However, there was no significant difference in RGC density between Cav-1 KO and wild type mice. These findings highlight the role of Cav-1 in regulating neurovascular coupling and IOP and suggest that the loss of Cav-1 may predispose to vascular dysfunction and decreased RGC signaling in the absence of structural loss. …”

Use of functional magnetic resonance imaging to identify cortical loci for lower limb movements and their efficacy for individuals after stroke
Published 2024“…Conclusions The cortical loci associated with lower limb movements in the PCL identified in healthy participants were validated using independent groups of healthy participants and individuals after stroke. Our findings suggest that these cortical loci may be beneficial for the neurorehabilitation of lower limb movement in individuals after stroke, such as in developing effective rehabilitation interventions guided by the LI scores obtained for neuronal activations calculated from the identified cortical loci across the paretic and non-paretic sides of the brain.…”
