Unveiling the importance of controllable growth of c-axis oriented Sn-doped ZnO nanorod arrays: Towards humidity sensing applications
Published 2025“…Morphology images taken using a Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM) demonstrated an enlargement of the average diameter of the nanorod arrays from 55 nm at 5 min immersion to 122 nm at 200 min immersion. The cross-sectional and surface elemental analysis showed that the sample immersed for 60 min has the highest detection of Sn, with a bulk concentration of 1.8 at.% and surface concentration of 1 at.%. …”

Valley-optical absorption in planar transition metal dichalcogenide superlattices
Published 2023“…By calculating the effective mass for different bands and using the Drude-Lorentz model, our approach is able to determine the oscillator strength and the effective refractive index of the structure. We found that the spin-orbit coupling has important effect on the absorption coefficient and energy bands where it reduces the absorption coefficient of the structure from typical value of [Formula: see text]-[Formula: see text], also the valence band experiences a significant blue shift, while the conduction band shows minor changes due to spin orbit coupling. …”

The inference-boundary model reinterpreting theme and rheme
Published 2013“…The Hallidayan notions of theme and rheme pose an interesting challenge to linguists in their attempts to pin them down more specifically. This paper argues that since the thematic structure of the clause organises it as a message, a useful starting point in theme–rheme research is an understanding of how clausal messages are typically processed by language users. …”
