Attack strategies in birds of prey
Published 2016“…My results contradict this theory, as falcons were seen to use saccadic head movements to maintain the image of the prey in their field of view whilst flying along curved trajectories - suggesting a different visual strategy.…”

Cell and tissue specific functional genomics of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis
Published 2019“…Only CD8+ T cells showed a substantial number of differentially accessible regions (DARs) (n=55, FDR< 0.05), and intersection with differential H3K27ac was only seen at an intron of DTD1. Monocytes and CD8+ T cells showed highest numbers of differentially expressed genes (n=671 and 651 respectively, FDR<0.05) with enrichment of MAPK and IL-12 signalling (both cell types) and NF-κB, TNF and chemokine signalling (CD8+ T cells). …”

Cardiovascular risk factors in childhood and adulthood and cardiovascular disease in Middle Age
Published 2024“…<p><strong> Conclusions and Relevance </p></strong> In this cohort study of 10 634 participants, childhood risk factors were found to be associated both directly and indirectly to adult CVD, with the largest direct effect seen for BMI and LDL-C. These findings suggest that intervention for childhood risk factors, in particular BMI, is warranted to reduce incidence of adult CVD as it cannot be fully mitigated by risk factor management in adulthood.…”

Combating Household Bankruptcy: Developing a New Integrated Financial Education Model for Malaysian (S/O 13585)
Published 2019“…While there have been efforts undertaken by the government agencies and non-governmental organisation (NGOs) to curb these problems, recent evidence indicates that urgent action are needed to address the problems in the long term in which financial education has been seen as one of the vital means in order to equip people with appropriate financial knowledge that can help them to develop good financial/debt management. …”

Biomolecular hydration in protein-protein interaction, protein stability and aggregation and lead optimization : computational studies
Published 2017“…After providing a brief overview of biomolecular hydration and outlining the need for new insights to explain experimental observations such as aggregation (Chapter 1), a hydration metric is identified that is linked to Aggregation Prone Regions (APRs) in proteins. …”
