The Language Network Reliably “Tracks” Naturalistic Meaningful Nonverbal Stimuli
Published 2024“…Our results complement earlier findings from controlled experiments (e.g., Ivanova et al., 2021) in providing further evidence that the language network shows some sensitivity to semantic content in nonverbal stimuli.…”

Cognitive versatility and adaptation to fluid participation in hospital emergency department teams
Published 2024“…Importantly, the presence of a cognitively versatile attending physician mitigates these negative outcomes, enhancing overall team effectiveness. Our findings remain robust even after accounting for other variables like team expertise and familiarity. …”

Deadweight costs and optimal capital structure.
Published 2011“…In this paper, our model is consistent with those empirical findings. However, we shall go deeper in exploring how the presence of deadweight costs affect a MNC’s (1) optimal capital structure, and (2) optimal renegotiation strategy. …”

Deep learning-based microcirculation performance classification using multispectral photoacoustic technology
Published 2024“…The ultrasonic waves collected from their posterior left arm under two experimental settings, namely at rest (i.e., control) and with arterial blood flow occlusions, were used to predict the microcirculation changes in tissue using the deep networks. Our findings showed the superiority of the hybrid model over the Alexnet and LSTM, with an average testing accuracy of 95.7 % and precision of 98.2 %, making it an ideal deep learning model for the task. …”

The central element of the synaptonemal complex in mice is organized as a bilayered junction structure
Published 2017“…Distribution of immuno-gold particles in a lateral view of the synaptonemal complex, supported by protein interaction data, suggest that the N-terminal region of SYCP1 and SYCE3 form a joint bilayered central structure, and that SYCE1 and SYCE2 localize in between the two layers. We find that disruption of SYCE2 and TEX12 (a fourth central element protein) localization to the central element abolishes central alignment of the N-terminal region of SYCP1. …”
