ESG reporting in Singapore
Published 2013“…Through our research, we observed that the local scene requires more effort in sustainability reporting, especially in the Environment and Social segments. Our results reflect that there is inadequate disclosure of information regarding sustainability in Singapore, across the various industries and amongst firms of different market capitalisation.…”

Evaluation of subconjunctival liposomal steroids for the treatment of experimental uveitis
Published 2018“…The current gold standard for treatment is topical steroids, but low ocular bioavailability and compliance issues with the intensive dosing regimen limit the efficacy of this treatment. Liposomes as a drug delivery system may help to overcome these problems. …”

Investigating the impact of growth arrest mechanisms on tumour growth and responses to radiotherapy and hyperthermia
Published 2023“…In each regime, we determine the biological processes that may underpin positive and negative treatment outcomes and assess which treatment (RT, HT or RT + HT) and dosing regimen maximise the reduction in tumour burden. This work enables us to generate a set of hypotheses that may explain some of the widely varying tumour behaviours observed experimentally and clinically.…”

Cytisine versus varenicline for smoking cessation in a primary care setting: a randomized non-inferiority trial
Published 2023“…Given the much lower cost of cytisine treatment, its lower rate of adverse events, and higher feasibility (but its likely lower effectiveness with the standard dosage regimen), future analyses should assess the cost-effectiveness of the two treatments for health policy considerations.…”

Fine-scale population structure and widespread conservation of genetic effect sizes between human groups across traits
Published 2025“…To estimate the similarity of genetic effect sizes between groups, we developed ANCHOR, which estimates changes in the predictive power of an existing PGS in distinct local ancestry segments. ANCHOR infers highly similar (estimated correlation 0.98 ± 0.07) effect sizes between UK Biobank participants of African and European ancestry for 47 of 53 quantitative phenotypes, suggesting that gene–environment and gene–gene interactions do not play major roles in poor cross-ancestry PGS transferability for these traits in the United Kingdom, and providing optimism that shared causal mutations operate similarly in different populations.…”

Instabilities in tidal turbine wakes
Published 2023“…Unsteady inflow causes the turbine blades to shed vorticity of time-varying strength into the wake, which in turn leads to a spatial variation in wake vortex strength, such that the vorticity of adjacent returning wake segments can differ. This spatial variation triggers the instability of tip vortices, the characteristics of which are shown to be governed by the ’frequency ratio’ ω/ΩNB (where ω is harmonic inflow frequency, Ω is turbine rotational frequency and NB is the number of blades). …”
