Bjerknes forces in motion : long-range translational motion and chiral directionality switching in bubble-propelled micromotors via an ultrasonic pathway
Published 2020“…The reciprocal action between oscillating bubbles aggregates and ejected microbubbles in an acoustic field demonstrate influence on the motion of the micromotor. Long‐range translational motion can be induced into the micromotor, when repulsive forces between bubble aggregates and ejected microbubbles are manifested in an acoustic field by Bjerknes forces. …”

Long term surface deformation of Soufrière Hills volcano, Montserrat from GPS geodesy : inferences from simple elastic inverse models
Published 2012“…Campaign and continuous GPS geodetic measurements on Soufrière Hills Volcano, Montserrat are reported from 1995 to 2009, spanning three dome growth and repose episodes. Uniform elastic half-space inversions were used to examine how crustal pressure sources evolved by inverting subsets of all available 3D site data for any given episode using a single Mogi-source. …”

Experimental study of large-temperature-range and long-period monitoring for LNG marine auxiliary based on fiber Bragg grating temperature measurement
Published 2022“…In addition, the drift degrees of the optical fibers and industrial thermistors were analyzed to figure out their reliabilities for long-term temperature measurements. The results showed that for the long-period (16 months) monitoring of LNG ships in a large temperature range (105–315 K) under different shipping conditions, the optical temperature measurement based on FBG technology has sufficient accuracy and dynamic sensitivity with a higher safety than the traditional thermoelectric measurement. …”

《虬髯客传》的古今诠释 : 以《虬髯客传》、《虬髯翁》和《风尘三侠之红拂女》为例 = Retelling “The legend of curled beard” : examples from Tang, Ming and Contemporary
Published 2015“…The Tang short story provides the base plot for all the other adaptations, portraying a majestic hero Curled Beard who is as wise as the second Tang Emperor Li Shi Min. The Ming play aims to persuade the rebels at that time to stop their rebellion by showing how the wise Curled Beard decide to expand his territory overseas and not overthrow the dynasty. …”

The English wing spinet of the 17th and 18th centuries: with special reference to the extant Haward spinets indtroducing newly discovered evidence for Samuel Pepys' Haward spinet and Queen Anne's Haward spinet
Published 2021“…The wing spinet, evidently introduced to England in 1663 by its acknowledged inventor, Gerolamo Zenti, displaced the virginal in the 1680s and was, in turn, displaced by the square piano a century later. …”
