Insight into proton transfer in phosphotungstic acid functionalized mesoporous silica-based proton exchange membrane fuel cells
Published 2014“…When the adjacent HPWs are close (less than 17.0 Å apart), the calculated activation energy for intramolecular proton transfer within a HPW molecule is higher (29.1–18.8 kJ/mol) than the barrier for intermolecular proton transfer along the hydrogen bond. We find that the overall barrier for proton movement within the HPW-meso-silica membranes is determined by the intramolecular proton transfer pathway, which explains why the proton conductivity remains unchanged when the weight percentage of HPW on meso-silica is above 67 wt %. …”

Unexpected intrinsic catalytic function of porous boron nitride nanorods for highly efficient peroxymonosulfate activation in water treatment
Published 2022“…The used BN was easily regenerated by heating in air, in which the B-O bond was fully recovered. These findings provide new insights for BN as a non-metal catalyst for organics' degradation via PMS activation, in both theoretical and practical prospects.…”

Frame competition and climate change communication
Published 2015“…In general, complementary frames produced classic framing effects, while competitive frames produced middle ground positions, which is consistent with current literature. Findings suggest the limited ability of communication frames in competitive environments to effectively engage and drive change beyond the attitudinal level. …”
