Environmental impacts of greywater use for irrigation on home gardens
Published 2011“…The new ZTLs were tested to compare the quantity and quality of leachate collected with that from the conventional pan lysimeter, in a pilot-scale study. The results indicate that the new lysimeter designated as ZTL (NI), was effective at collecting leachate and was suitable to install at household sites. …”

Situated perspectives on the city: a reflection on scaling participation through design
Published 2021“…We discuss these ideas by drawing on our own experience of devising and facilitating a number of participatory design and planning initiatives titled Change by Design with the non-profit organization Architecture Sans Frontières – UK (ASF-UK). Reflecting on this experience, we argue that the inclusion of a design-based, city-level perspective in localized upgrading initiatives can be a powerful conceptual and practical tool to support horizontal, vertical and deep scaling; and we highlight the importance of constructing this design tool in an embodied and situated manner, so that scaling processes remain firmly grounded in everyday lives and experiences.…”

Metamaterial based ultra-wideband antennas for portable wireless applications
Published 2017“…Various approaches have been reported to reduce the physical size of RF antennas including using high permittivity substrates, shorting pins, reactive components, and more recently, metamaterials (MTM) based on composite right-/left-handed transmission-lines (CRLH-TLs). …”

Prediction of sedimentation and bank erosion due to the construction of Kahang Dam
Published 2020“…This research used the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and ANN with Autoregressive (AR) (NNETAR) in predicting suspended sediment concentration using sediment concentration, discharge and water level as inputs. Similarly, erosion pins were installed on four transects to monitor the riverbank for thirteen months. …”
