Excitation and transition rate diagrams of singly ionized iron in analytical glow discharges in argon, neon and an argon-hydrogen mixture
Published 2014“…Open questions remain concerning charge transfer excitation of iron, in particular about the range of energies in which the Fe II levels can be directly populated by charge transfer and about the conservation of spin in such reactions.…”

Network performance of pruned hierarchical torus network
Published 2009“…We have explored the network diameter, average distance, bisection width, peak number of vertical links, and VLSI layout area of different HTN. It is shown that the pruned HTN possesses several attractive features including small diameter, small average distance, small number of wires, a particularly small number of vertical links, and economic layout area as compared to its non-pruned counterpart. …”

The use of horizontal and inclined bars as shear reinforcement
Published 2005“…The results show that the shear capacities of the beams with additional horizontal and independent bent-up bars larger than 1.2% of their cross-sectional area are higher than that of the conventionally designed beam with vertical links. It may therefore be suggested that these types of shear reinforcement be used to ease the congestion of links near the supports.…”

Right-wing nationalism, populism, and religion: what are the connections and why?
Published 2021“…Although not the same thing, nationalism and populism are said to be closely linked. Nationalists, like populists, may claim that there is but one ‘true religion’ - that is, their own and their followers’ - which helps focus their nationalist vision. …”

Calcification of the alar ligament mimics fracture of the craniovertebral junction (CVJ): an incidental finding from computerised tomography of the cervical spine following trauma
Published 2009“…We present a case involving a previously healthy 44-year old man who was admitted following a severe head injury from a road traffic accident. CT scans of the head showed multiple intracrania haemorrhages, while scans of the cervical spine revealed a small, well-defined, ovoid calcification in the right alar ligament. …”

Effects of selective laser melting parameters on relative density of AlSi10Mg
Published 2017“…In this work, the effects on the relative density is investigated for SLM-produced AlSi10Mg parts on one factor at a time (OFAT) basis by keeping constant various parameters such as laser power, scanning speed and hatching distance. It is shown that AlSi10Mg parts produced by SLM having best relative density values are at 350 watt laser power, 1650 mm/s of scanning speed and hatching distance of 0.13mm.…”
