Psychological significance of name changes: a case study of (North) Macedonia's name referendum
Published 2024“…Participants (ethnic Macedonians, N = 301) took a survey measuring these variables, along with their voting intentions and behavior, one week prior to a national referendum on the name change, and again several weeks later. The results indicated that while all variables predicted negative attitudes toward the name change, only considering the name a sacred value and, to a lesser extent, being identified with the country, uniquely predicted this outcome, and only sacred values uniquely predicted voting. …”

Paper-based solution sampling coupled with potentiometric ion sensors
Published 2021“…To eliminate the unfavourable effects, different paper substrate pre-treatments were investigated, namely: (i) modifications of paper substrates with primary or interfering ions and acidification of paper substrates to chemically bind the active groups on the paper, thus avoid subsequent paper substrate interactions with metal ions in the sample solution; (ii) modifications of paper substrates by gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) to selectively remove/diminish transport of proteins from the clinical samples. …”

A correlated microwave-acoustic imaging method for early-stage cancer detection
Published 2013“…Microwave-based imaging technique shows large potential in detecting early-stage cancer due to significant dielectric contrast between tumor and surrounding healthy tissue. In this paper, we present a new way named Correlated Microwave-Acoustic Imaging (CMAI) of combining two microwave-based imaging modalities: confocal microwave imaging(CMI) by detecting scattered microwave signal, and microwave-induced thermo-acoustic imaging (TAI) by detecting induced acoustic signal arising from microwave energy absorption and thermal expansion. …”
