Strengthening the policy impact of multidimensional metrics given attention constraints: constructing linked metrics
Published 2025“…We illustrate our general proposal by building an individual linked Child Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) that uses the already-identified deprivations of each child according to Nepal’s National MPI, and appends to this two age-specific indicators using parameters that cohere with the National MPI. The results illuminate wider facets of child poverty (by gender, age and indicator among others) and identifies as poor all children formerly identified as poor plus additional children. …”

Development of a human-robot cooperative control system
Published 2014“…During the final year of study in the course for the Bachelor’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering in Nanyang Technological University, the student was assigned to the Final Year Project for Safe Human-Robot Interaction under the supervision of Associate Professor Cheah Chien Chern. The project’s objective was achieved through the use of a Microsoft Kinect depth sensor to monitor the position of a SCARA robot and determine safety actions to be taken by the robot. …”

Modelling the dynamics of microbubble undergoing stable and inertial cavitation: delineating the effects of ultrasound and microbubble parameters on sonothrombolysis
Published 2024“…It was found that microbubble translation towards the clot and the shear stress on the clot surface during stable cavitation were significant when the bubble was about to undergo inertial cavitation. …”

Electrohydrodynamic instability in an annular liquid layer with radial conductivity gradients
Published 2014“…In this paper, the electrohydrodynamic stability in an annular liquid layer with a radial electrical conductivity gradient is investigated. A weak shear flow arises from a constant pressure gradient in the axial direction. …”

Experimental studies on the behaviour of non_seismically detailed reinforced concrete column
Published 2010“…Post earthquake and experimental research have shown that old reinforced concrete structures which are designed based on non-seismic details are vulnerable to shear failure during earthquakes. Shear failure can lead to a reduction in building lateral strength, change in inelastic deformation mechanism and loss of axial load-carrying capacity. …”
