Temperament and the development of higher cognitive abilities in 3- to 5-year-olds
Published 2013“…The current study investigated how temperament interacts with the development of higher cognitive abilities, such as language, theory of mind (ToM), and executive function (EF) in 3- to 5-year-olds. ToM refers to one’s reasoning about one’s own and others’ mental states. …”

Childhood language development and alexithymia in adolescence: an eight-year longitudinal study
Published 2024“…Leveraging data from the Surrey Communication and Language in Education cohort (N = 229, mean age at timepoint 1 = 5.32 years, SD = 0.29, 51.1% female), we investigated the prospective link between childhood language development and alexithymic traits in adolescence. …”

Organic semiconducting agents for deep-tissue molecular imaging : second near-infrared fluorescence, self-luminescence, and photoacoustics
Published 2020“…To overcome these issues, second near-infrared fluorescence, self-luminescence, and photoacoustic imaging have recently emerged, which utilize an optical region with reduced light-tissue interactions, eliminate real-time light excitation, and detect acoustic signals with negligible attenuation, respectively. …”

Development of engineering tools and design guidelines for FRP strengthened RC walls subject to near field blast loading
Published 2020“…Nevertheless, in report D5, mass runs are mainly devoted to GFRP strengthened RC walls subject to near-field blast effects and fragment loading. The tensile strength of GFRP has been re-tested and used in the mass run. …”

Rhenium diselenide (ReSe2) near-infrared photodetector : performance enhancement by selective p-doping technique
Published 2020“…In this study, a near-infrared photodetector featuring a high photoresponsivity and a short photoresponse time is demonstrated, which is fabricated on rhenium diselenide (ReSe2) with a relatively narrow bandgap (0.9-1.0 eV) compared to conventional transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs). …”

Charge-depletion-enhanced WSe2 quantum emitters on gold nanogap arrays with near-unity quantum efficiency
Published 2024“…In this condition, for site-controlled SPEs in WSe2 coupled to gold nanogaps, the SPE transition quantum efficiency after gating is increased to 76.4 ± 14.6% on average, with some SPEs reaching near-unity (more than 90%) quantum efficiency. This study provides a new approach for tuning SPEs with an applied gate voltage and motivates further theoretical and experimental studies of SPE enhancement on vertically aligned nanogaps.…”

A dual-functional benzobisthiadiazole derivative as an effective theranostic agent for near-infrared photoacoustic imaging and photothermal therapy
Published 2016“…Herein, we report a theranostic agent based on a narrow-‐bandgap small molecule, benzo[1,2-c;4,5-c’]bis[1,2,5]thiadiazole-4,7-bis(9,9-dioctyl-9H-fluoren-2-yl)thiophene (denoted as BBT-2FT), with strong absorption of near infrared (NIR) light. Colloidal nanoparticles composed of BBT‐2FT show photoacoustic signal intensity 10 times higher than that of blood, and high photothermal conversion efficiency (η=40%) under irradiation of 800-nm laser light that kills over 90% HeLa cells in 10 mins.…”
