Evaluation of antioxidant and anti-tyrosinase activities of surfactant and alcohol extracted Combretum Indicum leaves
Published 2024“…Combretum Indicum (CI), which contains numerous bioactive compounds, has been used in traditional medicine for a variety of reasons, including the treatment of skin conditions. This study investigates the antioxidant and anti-tyrosinase activities of CI leaves extracted using different surfactants (Triton X-100 and Vitamin E TPGS) at concentrations of 1%, 2%, and 3%, as well as various alcohol solvents (acetone, methanol, and ethanol) at concentrations of 50%, 70%, and 90%. …”

A stretchable and self‐healing energy storage device based on mechanically and electrically restorative liquid‐metal particles and carboxylated polyurethane composites
Published 2020“…Stretchable and self-healing (SH) energy storage devices are indispensable elements in energy-autonomous electronic skin. However, the current collectors are not self-healable nor intrinsically stretchable, they mostly rely on strain-accommodating structures that require complex processing, are often limited in stretchability, and suffer from low device packing density and fragility. …”

Numerical modeling of the impacts of high albedo materials on building energy savings
Published 2013“…The impact of increasing solar reflectance from 0.4 to 0.8 for non insulated reinforced concrete is equivalent to the impact achieved by including 20~22 mm of insulation material with 0.03 W/mK thermal conductivity and it was further verified, increasing solar reflectance in both non-insulated and insulated roofs are more effective in reducing conduction heat gain compared to the double skin roof. The conduction heat gain contribution to the annual energy consumption is reduced in the range of 4 - 4.5 kWh/m2 due to the impact of increasing solar reflectance from 0.4 to 0.8 in a lower floor which has no effect from roof conduction. …”
