Commercialization strategy for FormaCyte therapeutics: Type 1 diabetes patient insights and regulatory pathway analysis on US FDA's impact on other jurisdictions by Liu, Fanzheng

    Published 2024
“…However, limited access to real-life experiences of T1D patients and challenges in patient engagement underscore the necessity for innovative outreach methods and focused interviews to enhance patient-centric development, crucial for development success and regulatory strategy. Additionally, existing regulatory literature primarily focuses on regenerative medicine, not specifically CT, and lacks comprehensive insights into the impact of US regulations on other jurisdictions, highlighting the need for a more inclusive review to inform FormaCyte's tailored regulatory approach across diverse jurisdictions. 25 patients are interviewed in this project, and insights on their glucose management method, major pain points, lifestyle and mindset, expenditure, and thoughts on FormaCyte are gathered. …”

Electricity sector deregulation and consumer protection: assessing the imperatives of a competition: Assessing the imperatives of a competition law and competition regulatory authority in Nigeria by Usman, Dahiru Jafaru, Yaacob, Nurli, A. Rahman, Aspalella

    Published 2014
“…Literature abounds on the high risk of the electricity sector deregulation and the susceptibility of the deregulated electricity markets to manipulations and abuse by the electricity service providers. For better and fair market operations and the protection of consumers’ interest, the paper adopts the doctrinal research approach and assesses the imperatives of competition law and competition structures in the deregulated Nigerian electricity market. The paper found that the Nigerian experiment took off without the necessary consumer protection structures such as a competition law and competition regulatory agency leaving the electricity consumers at the mercy of the electricity service providers. The paper concludes that the country urgently needs a comprehensive competition regime to guarantee consumer benefits and to prevent substituting public monopoly with a private monopoly in the new Nigerian electricity market.…”
