Dengue versus COVID-19: comparing the incidence of cardiovascular, neuropsychiatric and autoimmune complications
Published 2024“…The post-acute risk of new-incident multi-systemic complications following dengue infection was contrasted against that following severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection in a multi-ethnic adult Asian population. …”

Improved reverse bias stability in p–i–n perovskite solar cells with optimized hole transport materials and less reactive electrodes
Published 2024“…By implementing both a ~35-nm-thick conjugated polymer hole transport layer and a more electrochemically stable back electrode, we demonstrate average breakdown voltages exceeding −15 V, comparable to those of silicon cells. Our strategy for increasing the breakdown voltage reduces the number of bypass diodes needed to protect a solar module that is partially shaded, which has been proven to be an effective strategy for silicon solar panels.…”

Metabolite profiling in identifying metabolic biomarkers in older people with late-onset type 2 diabetes mellitus
Published 2018“…Lower levels of phenylalanine, acetylhistidine, and cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) were found in urine samples of T2D subjects validated with commercial standards. Elevated levels of 5′-methylthioadenosine (MTA), which previously has only been implicated in animal model of diabetes, was found in urine of older people with T2D.…”

A dormant overmassive black hole in the early Universe
Published 2024“…Recent observations have found a large number of supermassive black holes already in place in the first few hundred million years after the Big Bang, many of which seem to be overmassive relative to their host galaxy stellar mass when compared with local relation1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8–9.
