Motivation to lead as mediator of relations between the dark triad, big five, and leadership intention
Published 2021“…Narcissism explains variance in leadership intentions over and above that explained by extraversion; this contrasts with the studies of leader emergence, where the effect of narcissism disappears once extraversion is controlled. Overall, our findings validate the three-factor conceptualization of motivation to lead and illuminate the roles of both bright and dark personality factors in understanding individual desire to attain leadership roles.…”

Potential ago2/miR-3068-5p cascades in the nucleus accumbens contribute to methamphetamine-induced locomotor sensitization of mice
Published 2022“…Knocking down miR-3068-5p, serving as an Ago2-dependent miRNA, strengthened the METH sensitization responses in mice. These findings demonstrated that dysregulated Ago2 in neurons in the NAc is capable of regulating METH sensitization and suggested a potential role of Ago2-dependent miR-3068-5p in METH sensitization.…”

Do we need ramsey taxation? Our existing taxes are largely corrective
Published 2022“…The empirical test conducted on the data from the World Bank and the International Labor Organization conforms to this theoretical finding. More concretely, when the labor tax increases by 1 standard deviation from the average level, the average working time may be reduced by 1.125%. …”

Revealing the biotoxicity of phosphorene oxide nanosheets based on the villin headpiece
Published 2023“…Compared with the dispersion interaction, the electrostatic interaction between PO and the protein has a negligible effect on the structural damage of HP35. These findings might shed light on the biological toxicity of PO nanosheets and would be helpful for future potential biomedical applications of PO nanosheets, such as nanodrugs and antibacterial agents.…”

Construction of quasi-ordered metal-organic frameworks superstructures via colloidal assembly of anisotropic particles for selective organic vapor sensing
Published 2024“…The dynamic reflection spectral patterns exhibited by these superstructures provide valuable insights into the diffusion rates and surface tension characteristics of the target solvents. These findings underscore the potential of MOFs-based superstructure thin films to discriminate between physiochemically similar solvents, opening new avenues for applications in various fields.…”

3D spheroid-microvasculature-on-a-chip for tumor-endothelium mechanobiology interplay
Published 2024“…During the final stage of cancer metastasis, tumor cells embed themselves in distant capillary beds, from where they extravasate and establish secondary tumors. Recent findings underscore the pivotal roles of blood/lymphatic flow and shear stress in this intricate tumor extravasation process. …”

Transformative transmediation: eliciting student self-evaluation of academic writing through the video essay assignment
Published 2025“…Specifically, we found that 1) transmediation enabled students to self-evaluate their writing as they repeatedly listened to their voiceovers, found concrete visuals to illustrate their ideas, and edited their work to fit the concise video format; 2) students broke with habitual, less useful revision practices as they were freed from the conventional and grammatical concerns of written academic text and narrated their arguments colloquially in their voiceovers; 3) students exhibited an improved awareness of audience and medium; and 4) students were more enthusiastic with the course due to the novelty of the multimodal assignment. These findings suggest that including a video essay assignment during the drafting process can serve as an effective tool in advancing students’ abilities to evaluate their own academic writing.…”

An RRM–ZnF RNA recognition module targets RBM10 to exonic sequences to promote exon exclusion
Published 2017“…Importantly, a second RRM domain (RRM2) of RBM10 recognizes a C-rich sequence, which explains its known interaction with the intronic 3΄ site of NUMB exon 9 contributing to regulation of the Notch pathway in cancer. Together, these findings explain RBM10's broad RNA specificity and suggest that RBM10 functions as a splicing regulator using two RNA-binding units with different specificities to promote exon skipping.…”

Effect of post-deposition annealing on the interface electronic structures of Al2O3-Capped GaN and GaN/AlGaN/GaN heterostructure
Published 2019“…The XPS data, however, reveal a clear Ga-O signal for all samples and no apparent change in the Ga-O to Ga-N bond ratio for the range of annealing temperatures studied. These findings imply that the observed improvement in 2DEG mobility (and the associated decrease of interface defect density) should be ascribed to the structural change of the disordered GaOx interfacial layer formed during the atomic-layer-deposition of the Al2O3.…”
