A stretchable and self‐healing energy storage device based on mechanically and electrically restorative liquid‐metal particles and carboxylated polyurethane composites
Published 2020“…Stretchable and self-healing (SH) energy storage devices are indispensable elements in energy-autonomous electronic skin. However, the current collectors are not self-healable nor intrinsically stretchable, they mostly rely on strain-accommodating structures that require complex processing, are often limited in stretchability, and suffer from low device packing density and fragility. …”

Lancing drug reservoirs into subcutaneous fat to combat obesity and associated metabolic diseases
Published 2021“…Specifically, ultrathin, core-shelled, and lance-shaped polymeric drug reservoirs (micro-lances [MLs]) are readily fabricated by a thermal pressing molding method and totally implanted into subcutaneous fat by lancing through the skin. Using a diet-induced obese mouse model, it is shown that the development of obesity and associated metabolic disorders is effectively inhibited by applying therapeutic core-shelled MLs once every 2 weeks. …”

Double-microcrack coupling stretchable neural electrode for electrophysiological communication
Published 2023“…Developing neural electrodes with high stretchability and stable conductivity is a promising method to explore applications of them in biological medicine and electronic skin. However, considering the poor mechanical stretchability of typical conductive materials, maintaining the connection of electrode conductive paths under high stretching is still a challenge. …”

Numerical modeling of the impacts of high albedo materials on building energy savings
Published 2013“…The impact of increasing solar reflectance from 0.4 to 0.8 for non insulated reinforced concrete is equivalent to the impact achieved by including 20~22 mm of insulation material with 0.03 W/mK thermal conductivity and it was further verified, increasing solar reflectance in both non-insulated and insulated roofs are more effective in reducing conduction heat gain compared to the double skin roof. The conduction heat gain contribution to the annual energy consumption is reduced in the range of 4 - 4.5 kWh/m2 due to the impact of increasing solar reflectance from 0.4 to 0.8 in a lower floor which has no effect from roof conduction. …”

Putting distance through cleansing : the mediating role of temporal distancing on the embodiment of moral purity
Published 2015“…This study is instigated for the purposes of the latter, and aims to investigate the role of subjective distancing as a potential mediator to the embodied link in moral settings. More specifically, it is hypothesized that compared to individuals who do not clean their hands, those who do so after recalling a past immoral act would be more likely to temporally distance their present selves away from their past immoral selves so as to preserve favorable self-view, and hence are more likely to perceive their past moral transgressions as less severe than they would have normally believed. …”
