Compositionally graded alloys fabricated using the laser powder bed fusion technique
Published 2023“…In this study, among the several available AM processes, the LPBF technique is selected to fabricate compositionally graded alloys, as it has higher spatial resolution and lower cost, compared to directed energy deposition (DED) and electron beam powder bed fusion (EBPBF). With three different LPBF setups and four alloy systems examined in this study, the following objectives are achieved: (i) screening out, from a large range of compositions, the alloys that are amenable to LPBF, (ii) examining the effects of the LPBF characteristics, e.g., rapid cooling rate, on the micro-/meso-structure and properties of the fabricated parts with varying chemical compositions, and (iii) evaluating the fabrication methods in terms of types of achieved gradation (stepwise or smooth), efficiency, and level of chemical segregation. …”

Synthesis and characterization of Cu-Chalcogenide nanocrystals for potential applications in low-cost solar cells
Published 2013“…Since the opto-electrical properties of the NCs are highly dependent on the composition and crystal structure, X-ray diffraction, selected area electron diffraction, convergent beam electron diffraction and Raman spectroscopy were used to determine their crystal structure. …”

Solution processed transition metal oxides selective contacts for Si heterojunction solar cells
Published 2021“…In this work, we have first prepared hole selective contacts using solution processed MoOx (s-MoOx) by spin-coating and physical evaporated MoOx (e-MoOx) by electron beam evaporator. The performance of the s-MoOx/Si HSC has been investigated and optimized, which has been demonstrated solar cell efficiency of 12.5% for s-MoOx/Si HSC that is comparable to efficiency of 13.3% for e-MoOx/Si HSC. …”

Poisson discretizations of Wiener functionals and Malliavin operators with Wasserstein estimates
Published 2021“…In addition, we derive a convergence rate of O(λ ) for the Poisson discretization of Wiener functionals by combining the multivariate Chen–Stein method with the Malliavin calculus. Our proposed sufficient condition for establishing the mentioned convergence rate involves the kernel functions in the Wiener chaos, yet we provide examples, especially the discretization of some common path dependent Wiener functionals, to which our results apply without committing the explicit computations of such kernels. …”
