Erasure temperature measurements of heat assisted magnetic recording media by Chen, Y. J., Yang, H. Z., Leong, S. H., Cher, K. M., Hu, J. F., Sethi, P., Lew, Wen Siang

    Published 2015
“…Magnetic force microscopy (MFM) and magnetic Kerr microscopy observations of the scanning laser induced degradation/erasure/demagnetization of the pre-recorded magnetic patterns on disk media (over a wide area of a few hundreds of μm2) show that the magnetic (MFM and Kerr signal) amplitude of the pre-recorded magnetic patterns decreases slowly with increasing laser power (Pw) (/temperature rise) for Pw ≲ 66 mW and then drops sharply to nearly zero for Pw ≥ ∼72 mW (the laser power corresponding to complete thermal erasure when the media temperature is ∼Te). It was further found that this trend of magnetic amplitude reduction with increased Pw is similar to that from magnetic amplitude decrease of pre-recorded magnetic patterns with increased bulk heating temperature. …”

White- and blue- collar workers' responses towards underground workspaces by Su, Ying, Roberts, Adam Charles, Yap, Hui Shan, Car, Josip, Kwok, Kian Woon, Soh, Chee Kiong, Christopoulos, George I.

    Published 2022
“…Here, we examine whether full-time white collar (office [WCW]) and blue collar (mostly manual [BCW]) workers of UGS have different responses to critical organizational variables when compared to similar workers of aboveground spaces (AGS). …”

Variable computed tomography appearances of COVID-19 by Lim, Zhan Ye, Khoo, Hau Wei, Hui, Terrence Chi Hong, Kok, Shawn Shi Xian, Kwan, Kenneth Eng Ling, Young, Barnaby Edward, Tan, Cher Heng, Kaw, Gregory Jon Leng

    Published 2020
“…While sensitive for detecting lung parenchymal abnormalities in COVID-19 pneumonia, the use of CT for initial diagnosis is discouraged and should be reserved for specific clinical indications. Interpretation of chest CT findings should be correlated with duration of symptoms to better determine the disease stage and aid in patient management.…”
