Design, fabrication and characterization of organic-inorganic hybrid solar cells by Ahmed Ali Said Ahmed

    Published 2020
“…Organic transporting materials are distinguished by low synthesis price, tunable frontier molecular orbital, easy of film forming and stable toward air. Organic transporting materials can be classified into organic small molecules and N-type conjugated polymers. …”

Synthesis and optical study of lead halide perovskites for opto-electronic applications by Ha, Son Tung

    Published 2018
“…These methods usually result in polycrystalline film with many pin-holes and defects. As a physicist, my first aim is to find a way to prepare highest quality, single crystal samples for studying their intrinsic and fundamental properties. …”

Dynamics in blue emitting metal halide perovskites for light emitting diodes by Karlsson, Max

    Published 2023
“…Although the origins of the poor temporal stability of perovskite light emitting diodes are manifold, one of the main problems are the low barriers for halide migration under the applied electric field during operation, rapidly degrading the device properties. We first find that compositional heterogeneities, stemming from rapid uncontrolled film growth, both lowers the threshold for further halide segregation as well as serves as centers for non-radiative recombination, resulting in reduced luminescence yield. …”

Lifshitz interaction can promote ice growth at water-silica interfaces by Boström, Mathias, Malyi, Oleksandr I., Parashar, Prachi, Shajesh, K. V., Thiyam, Priyadarshini, Milton, Kimball A., Persson, Clas, Parsons, Drew F., Brevik, Iver

    Published 2017
“…At air-water interfaces, the Lifshitz interaction by itself does not promote ice growth. On the contrary, we find that the Lifshitz force promotes the growth of an ice film, up to 1–8 nm thickness, near silica-water interfaces at the triple point of water. …”

Computational study of power conversion and luminous efficiency performance for semiconductor quantum dot nanophosphors on light-emitting diodes by Erdem, Talha, Nizamoglu, Sedat, Demir, Hilmi Volkan

    Published 2013
“…We present power conversion efficiency (PCE) and luminous efficiency (LE) performance levels of high photometric quality white LEDs integrated with quantum dots (QDs) achieving an averaged color rendering index of ≥90 (with R9 at least 70), a luminous efficacy of optical radiation of ≥380 lm/Wopt a correlated color temperature of ≤4000 K, and a chromaticity difference dC <0.0054. We computationally find that the device LE levels of 100, 150, and 200 lm/Welect can be achieved with QD quantum efficiency of 43%, 61%, and 80% in film, respectively, using state-of-the-art blue LED chips (81.3% PCE). …”
